INTU Blinds

What exactly are INTU Blinds ?

 

INTU Blinds are designed to fit into the inside frame of a window or conservatory, this
makes them ideal for use on tilt and turn windows and glazed doors. The blinds have a very slim headrail and all of the mechanism and fixings are completely hidden to give a very sleek look. The blinds can be fixed with or without the use of screws although it is sometimes better to use the screw fix method on larger windows, either way the blinds are fixed at the top and bottom of the window to allow tilting without the blind moving away from the glass. Headrails are available in white, silver or dark brown to coordinate with the many different types of windows available and can be installed onto most upvc frames, there is even a screw fix option for wooden windows if required.
 

Child Safety

In recent years it has been shown that blinds containing loose cords or cord  loops can be dangerous, since INTU blinds do not have loose cords or loops  this makes  the safest type of blind for use around children or animals.
 

What types of blinds are available ?

The innovative INTU blind system is available as a roller blind, a pleated blind or even as a metal or wooden Venetian blind;
The roller blind system features a cassette system that completely encloses the blind fabric, the blind then drops down between guide rails and locks into position at any required position.  When completely closed the INTU roller blind gives excellent closure, and is available in a choice of hundreds of standard or complete blackout fabrics.
The Pleated Intu system is a great solution where heat protection is required, many of the fabrics have solar protective / reflective backings and all blinds come with energy ratings. Pleated blinds are perfect for conservatories as they offer fantastic heat reflection on hot days and heat retention on cold winter nights.
INTU venetian blinds are available in both metal or wood and offer full control of light without the needed for cords or wands.
